Information Guide for the Contributors
GENERAL
All the reports for publication in TechnoTome, a multidisciplinary journal launched by LSFI, should be addressed to the Executive Editor and could be mailed at our email address: technotome@yahoo.com since we would prefer electronic copies of the same. The articles submitted to the journal would essentially hold true to the condition that they are original in their text and idea and have not been published elsewhere. We would appreciate responsibility, quality, clarity, accuracy and organization (on the part of authors) in the reports sent to us to ensure their speedy publication. All the papers assessed suitable for publication would be duly sent in for review to the peers in respective fields and the authors would be notified as and when the publication is scheduled for the journal.
MANUSCRIPTS
Manuscripts should be essentially simple, typewritten, double-spaced, page numbered and easily readable. The titles assigned to the articles need to be precise and short. Not more than five keywords should be separately mentioned and must be carefully chosen to highlight the major terms dealt in the report. Abstracts/summary of the papers should be limited to 125 words to convey the rationale of the work. Text of the paper should be formatted in a standard format beginning with a brief introduction followed by more elaborate sections of results and discussion/conclusion. The inclusion of numerically ordered tables and figures is most desired for research communications and articles in the journal. Symbols, abbreviations etc. should be defined as footnotes and all the superscripted/subscripted characters should be appropriately indicated. Figures and illustrations submitted (along with proper scale bars) are expected to be of high quality for their final reproduction in the journal. We may also request for hard copies of the figures if needed. References must be numbered in superscript, serially in the order in which they appear in the text and must be listed at the end of the text, in the following style:
- Lapidot T et al. (1994). A cell initiating human acute myeloid leukemia after transplantation into SCID mice. Nature 367: 645-648.
- Greenberg PD & Ridell SR (1999). Deficient cellular immunity finding and fixing the defects. Science 285: 546-551.
Acknowledgements should be brief and mentioned with due credits. Cover page photographs will be considered from the most catchy and significant reports published in each issue. Proofs, Publications and Reprint request orders: Two galley proofs accompanied by a reprint request form will be sent to the corresponding author, once the manuscript is set for publication in the journal.
